Inspiration.
Fun fact of the day.
Where did the term 'shooting' come from when it involves photography.
In 1882 Étienne-Jules Marey created a camera that could capture motion. It contained a large plate in a chamber and rotate 12 times in a second. Capturing 12 consecutive images. The camera looked so much like a shotgun that he referred to his activity as shooting. It's been a term used ever since. (really one of my favorite ones too)
With all this studying about how photography came about I've been thinking of all the photos of old with people having to sit still for long exposures. I think in this modern day with things having to happen so quickly a person would go mad with having to wait for a photograph to happen. I had to play with that Idea a bit. Plus throw a little modern in there with some overlay effects in this self portrait.
The main photo is of me and straight from the camera. I erased the over lay that covered me up but left it over the bed sheet...I mean backdrop. I thought it made it much more wrinkly looking.
Have a great weekend everyone!
