Values

I have spent my day running conferences about Values based education. As one of a community of nine schools that teach this explicit curricuum, my school hosted the other eight schools to work with Dr Neil Hawkes all day. We hosted a pupil conference this afternoon with children from 4 to 18 working together to explore our Values. The one in the photograph is Trust.
After school we welcomed staff from the nine schools to a special session and then in the evening parents from each of the schools visited to work with Neil.
This is what education should really be about; making a difference to a community, not stressing about counting things that shouldn't be counted. Instead we've been doing what counts.
