The noble lion from the King's Own Royal Regiment
I dropped into the City Museum in Lancaster this morning ... and my eye was caught by this noble beast.
The lion is the symbol of the ancient King's Own Royal Regiment ... which was first amalgamated with the Border Regiment in the late 1950s .. and has, once again, been amalgamated into the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.
This piece is a silver table centre ... it is beautiful, cold, stunning and ... have I already said ... noble.
