It's National Robert Louis Stevenson day today and over the years I've read quite a few of his books and enjoyed them all especially Weir of Hermiston. He is up there with Trollope and Dickens as enjoyable 19th century writers.

Sadly I have not had the same success with either Sir Walter Scott or Henry James- maybe some day.
