Today's photo is inspired by the photographer Robert X. Fogarty and his project Dear World. I was particularly moved by the photos he took on a recent visit to Syria.

My own photo was motivated by a talk I went to this afternoon given by two human rights defenders explaining the situation women are facing in both Pakistan and Egypt.
