The Chichester heron

The family emblem at Arlington Court, now a National Trust property. I made a special detour on my way home to get autumn colours in the grounds of the court but the light was poor and nothing special occurred. Hey ho, the heron it is then! He looks like he's wearing lycra cycling shorts. Will have to refer to travellersjoy's herons to see if the depiction is correct! Maybe a different type of heron tho I s'pose.
