It's really nice having brand spanking new stuff in the new house, just a couple of teething problems to sort out.

The cooker decided that it only wanted to switch on for about half a second at a time and so tonight we had a new switch fitted so we can finally stop living off takeaways!
Apparently -according to the instructions- before you use a new oven you have to put the grill part on for 15 minutes and then the oven for an hour to burn off the grease used when they made it. What the instructions don't mention is to check that the grill pan doesn't have screws sellotaped to it!
Melted sellotape doesn't smell too good!
