Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

Chiang Mai has many beautiful temples but the most revered is this one, high up above the city on Doi (=mountain) Suthep. Many devotees climb up from the city, taking about five or six hours to reach the holy temple. They are outnumbered by tourists who swarm up the mountain road, to pay their respects in a different way.
