The Skills Show

Here I am at the NEC in Birmingham for The Skills Show.

The Skills Show is a the UK final of a number of competitions that take place at the NEC. Amongst competitions like this one for Aeronautical Engineering there is floristry, welding, brick laying - you name a skill then there are some of Britain's best young people fighting it out to win a place representing the UK at World Skills in Brazil.

The Skills Show is not just about competitions but is also a giant exhibition showing young children of all school ages what a future career could look like and lets them have a go.

It is fantastic to see. Any blippers (Wackbatt) who live locally should get down to the NEC and have a go at virtual welding, flying a harrier jump jet and other exciting things.
