Third Year Abroad

By LittleLots

On the way back from drinks on Tuesday, I casually mentioned how little it rained here and how long it had been since I'd seen proper rain. As soon as the words slipped from my mouth, I realised I'd made the same fatal mistake as before - never challenge the weather. That said, the skies seemed clear enough and I didn't truly believe that my claim was going to do anything to change that. I was wrong. Once again, the following day, it absolutely tipped it down. Starting to think I have some kind of weather-related power, need to try doing a sun dance on the roof in order to reverse it. The change in weather did mean that my class halved in size, Spanish people really can't handle any weather less than blue skies and sunshine. I can't imagine the state of shock and horror that must occur when the temperature drops below 10 degrees or, god forbid, there's any hint of snow.
