Narnian chic...

This is one of the two lamp posts that we have on the church & rectory grounds, powered by a 13 amp plug in our living room. It seemed slightly odd to us as we arrived to have these lights, which were put in for the arrival of my predecessor, but they prove to be very, very useful for evening services in the winter (which is why they were on today) and when people are dropping children off and need to understand the rather windy drives and car parks up to the house and church. It's not quite the lamp post in the wintry wilderness from 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' but maybe a little bit of shades of that.
