A spark at dinner time..

Went out for date night, and after having the best ravioli I've ever had (for the second time) we ordered the bill before commenting on the surprisingly strong smell of toast. Seconds later and the kitchen door opened to billows of smoke.

The Scots/Italian couple in charge of the restaurant merrily assured us that this happens all the time, while they flapped some tea towels at the smoke alarm in an attempt to avoid the inevitable bells and arrival of the fire brigade.

As shown their attempts were unsuccessful and soon we were all out on the pavement in the wind, while the firemen strode in to remove the rogue toaster. We still hung around to pay the bill, then went on to watch Philomena at the cinema. Highly recommended!
