Leaving the bad weather behind

This is the beginning of our holiday, driving to Manchester airport on our way to a walking holiday in Lanzarote, where it may be too hot and sunny to walk!
We had a choice to fly from Gatwick, which we usually do, or from Manchester. We chose the latter as we'll be able to disembark from the plane and drive straight home within 3 - 4 hours. Much better than having to stay overnight in London.
