Giant goodness
Today we took a small group of pupils through to the Tunnock's Factory in Uddingston to pick up 3 x 36 snowballs which they had kindly donated for us to sell and raise money for a local family support charity. The factory was like something from a bygone age and felt like a comfortable, cosy haven of chocolate and sweetness. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the lady who dealt with us was absolutely wonderful and so very generous. It was really interesting to hear her talk about her work and the company. She spoke with such enthusiasm and it was obvious that she loved her job and the people she worked for.
The lady took us up to reception where the pupils posed with this giant caramel wafer. There was a brilliant teacake crash helmet on display there too.
We came away from Tunnock's with big grins on our faces - there was a real sense of happiness and joy about this place and it was infectious. I said to my friend later that visiting Tunnock's - seeing and hearing all about how the business is run - me feel so proud to be Scottish and have a company like this in our land! We love Tunnock's and I want to tell everyone how great they are!
