Late afternoon

I went down to the badly overgrown and weedy part wild garden this afternoon, expecting to see my little fly friend from yesterday. And indeed he was there, parading up and down his leaf. But I was too late and the sun was low. So I left him undisturbed for another day.

After a few minutes hanging out in the front garden, followed by a rather desultory search of the back garden, I noticed the late afternoon sun back-lighting this Salvia (Salvia greggii "Apricot").
