Poetry and Tufa

A small stream near Kirkby Stephen that flows into the River Eden. The stone on the left is part of the 'Poetry Path' of 12 sculptures that PaulaJ has documented.

The muddy looking stuff beneath the small waterfall is solid stone; tufa from weathered limestone deposited from the stream.
