Lots of sleeps.....
Omg I could not believe my eyes when I woke up this morning and saw the time, 9.30am!!!! And Eva was only just making a noise on the monitor. Mike had text saying "someone's having a lovely sleep" and said he'd been watching her on the camera from work, and said she woke around 9.10am, but she was just playing with her teddies as I never heard her til 9.30 which is what woke me up. I'd even set my alarm for 8, but obviously slept straight through it. Funny how my alarm clock gong off doesn't wake me, yet Eva makes a slight noise and ping, my eyes are open! I leapt out of bed thinking we'd got stay and play at 10, but then my brain engaged, and I remembered it was Friday and we'd got Rhythm Time at 10.55, phew!
Eva loves Rhythm time. She let out little squeals of delight as I held her in my arms and carried her round the room to the calypso music, playing Follow the Leader, and clutching her little maracas. Another thing she loved today, was when all the babies sat underneath the big sensory parachute. All the moms passed it round in a circle so it span above their heads, and then we wafted it up and down creating a breeze. Eva loved it. Awwww.
On the way home from Rhythm Time, Eva fell asleep in the car. Despite the fact she'd only been awake since gone 9. I carried her upstairs, she woke briefly, I gave her a teething powder and a big feed, put her in her cot, and she was out like a light again, zonked. She slept for nearly 2 and a half hours.
When she got up, first of all she had cuddles with Mommy and I sang her some nursery rhymes sat on my lap, then she had some floor time with her toys, and I got her treasure basket out again. We also went through a few pages of her First 100 Words book, and I pointed out certain pictures and words such as car, cat, dog, cow and did the noise each of them makes.
My dad came round for a coffee this afternoon and whilst we had a chocolate biscuit with our coffees, Eva sat and had her snack too.. an organix biscuit and some raisins, yum yum. By about 4.30, Eva was rubbing her eyes and tired again. I was like, you've only just woke up. I gave her her dinner on her own around 5.30pm (we were having Chinese with Mike's dad later), then at 7, Mike took her up for her bath, and I fed her and settled her down into bed, she was fast asleep by 8pm. Its now nearly 10pm and she hasn't stirred. Touch wood.
I am so glad we seem to have a happy baby being in her own room, I had been so worried about it xxxx
