peacock

thank you all for the outpouring (as usual) for my 1000th blip. very much appreciated. and here i am on track with my goal of posting on time.

also, today is keith's birthday - happy birthday to him. :)

went to mayfield nature preserve where there is a large flock of peacocks to play around with the lenses. quite a nice day for it, too. it's warmed up here quite a lot (typical), so we were hot.

made a german chocolate cake and having a little party tonight - all in all a good friday and a break from the normal grind of grad school - if only for a bit.
