Evening all.

The last time I saw Depeche Mode was a good few years ago.

It was just after the "Dave Gahan self destruct rock star" period, and frankly his voice was shot to pieces and it was an awkward, stumbling performance carried mainly by his band mates.

The Depeche Mode of 2013 are truly a different beast, older yet leaner despite the expansion to a live band comprising of five members, clean, sober and healthy, yes- but respectable...never, and they do look like they're enjoying themselves in their disreputable middle age.

Very tight, very long, and very well executed set list, a five song encore and a fitting finale of "Never Let Me Down Again"....

All in all brilliant night, great music, loads of fun and no one fainted or had a "bad back" like my concert experience earlier in the week!!
