Outreach competition funtimes!

I took this pretty cool photo of robots at Plymouth University today. Sadly these robots were not battling to the death - the humanoid one kept falling over rather gracelessly while the dog one was rolling over whenever people clapped.

The University was hosting a rather awesome festival of Physics, for which I gave a 3 minute talk about my research. The Institute Of Physics awarded me the runner-up prize in this competition, so I'm pretty happy!

It was worth buying a fake brain and lugging a UV lamp all the way to Plymouth on the train.
