Through the trees
A typical November day, cold, damp and overcast. Even so, there is always beauty to be enjoyed in nature. I love the light seen through these trees.
I listened to Kirsty Young interview the classical pianist Alfred Brendel. He says 'the world for me is absurd' and the most significant thing about mankind is 'the urge for self deception.' Also he says, 'I regard pessimism as a sign of intelligence. Optimism is a very welcome and life enhancing feature, a gift, but not necessarily a realistic outlook.'
It was an interesting and thought provoking interview.
