Winter woodland walk

Had a nice walk in Coombes wood this afternoon - haven't been there for ages.
A lot of trees had come down and blocked the pathways, and scarey dog lady was out with her pack of 14 dogs - it was like the Hound of the Baskervilles! Jim and I made sure we avoided them all - you could hear them baying through the woods like they were after the devil! So we picked our way past the fallen trees and kept well out of their way.
The sun seemed to go down at 4:30 pm - which is utterly ridiculous! We got back to the car in the dark and it seems to have been hours until I can pour my first glass of wine of the evening :-)
