The mono sunset sky

Never underestimate the effectiveness of mono.
It was what I started shooting when I got into photography when I was about 12, it was what I shot for years as a press photographer, and I still love it in these digital days, now so easy (though without the dark, smelly charms of the darkroom).
The sunset sky looked so much better in mono, tweaked in the digital darkroom of Snapseed, than it ever would have in colour.
