Umbrella or tree?

Love this tree in my mum and dad's garden, perfectly manicured. How dare the leaves fall!

Impromptu visit to see them today as my mum told me this morning that the two octogenarians were dismantling and moving furniture out so they could start decorating. So now all the furniture has been moved to a different room and the stage one is completely stripped. Progress....
