Holding the Fort

Dave is in America for another week and very much missed at home. I've started to overcompensate by moving furniture, drinking wine and reading Caitlin Moran's How to be a Woman. Day trip in the Shire today with kids and Grandma and Granda the VERY crazy driver. Included a nice wee detour via Alford to see the pictures of the Donside Photography Club and say hello to another Dave then on to Keig to try and figure out which croft Dad's dad was born in. Hoping I can keep semi-sane until the American adventurer returns, until then it will be all about grainy disconnecting face time, work, chauffeuring kids and trying not to live purely on scones, chocolate and wine.
