Harassment

I notice the pair over the western shore of the river. I don't know what is with crows that they have to attack eagles (and why eagles try to avoid them). To my knowledge, eagles don't regularly feed on crows. But, crows will even chase ospreys, which as far as I know eat only fish. Crows have been helpful in drawing attention raptors in the area, raising the hew and cry and putting birds hidden in foliage to flight. On the other hand, more than once I've been photographing a perched raptor when crows have spotted it and put it to flight.
