A decent proposal

Work this morning. We are trying the thing I wanted to try two years ago. Using the same family of virus as the HIV virus to get our DNA of choice into cell lines so that it is always expressed. This is how we hope will prove that the protein we work on promotes cancer formation.

Other than that a lazy day. But in the evening we go down to la jolla shores where one of deshauns friends has set up a proposal to his gf. The story was that the family band was playing a gig and that all friends and family were invited. Half way through the invited him up to sing and as he did he proposed. Took a lot of guts as I know how nerve wracking it is doing it 1 on 1. But this is America and I'm English and more reserved.

Finished the night off with a burrito and wine.
