Mr Seal

After a slow and leisurely start - partly due to the odd shower that fell but mostly due to my desire to take it easy - I began my drive back home.

I was only about 10kms down the road when a beautiful Pakawau beach scene presented itself. I stopped and headed onto the golden sands which were now bathed in lots of warm, spring sunshine and tried a few shots. Nothing great so I turned and headed back and that's when this chap (I hope I haven't offended her if he's a she!) appeared, seemingly from nowhere.

It seems we were both enjoying the sunshine and the beach and it was nice that, for a few minutes, we were able to share the scene together before he shuffled off into the water.

I do enjoy these chance encounters.
