The Sword Swallower

I was photographing at the Torture Garden event in Edinburgh this evening which means many of the photos taken aren't suitable for this fair audience. However, before the show started I was asked to take some shots of one of the the performers, La Loco.

I've tried a bit of a departure in my editing style on this image just to see how it works. It seems that the photography competitions like these heavily stylised images rather than a nice crisp and clean portraits. What do you all think? Does it work?
