Casino Royale!

We had a great time at the Scout hut last night at a 'Casino night' to raise money towards the Explorers' trip to Switzerland next summer. (One of many efforts)

The Explorers and their leaders ran the tables all dressed in formal attire. There were proper chips and the tables were all done out for roulette, black jack, card poker and dice poker. There were fab very colourful cocktails! There was no money involved (tickets gave a drinks allowance and a cup of chips. You could buy extra sets, though!) The person with the most chips at the end of the evening received £15 worth of lottery scratch cards.

I didn't come last - which was a great result given that I didn't have a clue how to play any of it!
The children had their own separate area with dice poker, roulette and bagatelle! their winnings were translated into sweets! The little lad in the blip was a really lovely child, very sharp (6 years old) and very successful according to Alex!

... by the way Fred won £2 in total on the scratch cards - a moral ending, I feel!!
