Mud Slide

Today went out on a Birthday eve cycle ride Same place as last year but my fellow birthday companion is in far more exotic places this year. Lovely ride expect for one steep down hill which was very muddy. It was almost in slow motion how L's back wheel went and she came down and slid on her side down the road for a few meters - looked and probably felt more than it actually was. I am dead impressed at how calm and together she was. I would have been in tears and not as jolly as her on the rest of the ride home. Fortunately no damage to her or her bike except scuffs and grazes. Her clothes however were the worse for wear, with holes in both her leggings and her lovely coat, plus totally covered in mud.
