Nice memories

We had a happy weekend, as my uncle and his wife visited us for the weekend in Paris. Today we walked via Arc de Triomphe and Palais de Chaillot towards the Eiffel Tower. Not for the tower, but to have a lunch cruise on the Seine. When arriving at the bateau, we had a surprise. Our name was not on the list, although we had a printed reservation confirmation ... so had to wait a moment to let the lady at reception to sort out the issues. Indeed she found our booking reference, but for next Tuesday ! It seems, that the online bookings are automatically confirmed to customers and only then retyped manually into the company's reservation system. That is how the confusion started. Anyway, finally we got a perfect table, a lovely lunch and spent a good time together. A lot of memories involved, and a new day to add to the memories.

As the water level of the Seine is still high, the boat was not able to make its usual turn towards the central parts of Paris, but instead towards Sèvres. At the first moment we were disappointed, but then took it as a special route, that cannot even booked under normal conditions.
