Library of Birmingham

This is the Library of Lost Books, which sits in the main foyer of the brand-spanking-new central library in Birmingham. It's a hugely impressive structure, with amazing views across the city, but I was rather disappointed to see that the books weren't exactly at the forefront of the experience! Apparently they get approximately 14,000 visitors there throughout the day on a Sunday (but no one could tell me how many books get taken out).
