Birds nest

This came to light last week when the Philadelphus was pruned back. Probably a blackbird's nest? What a beautiful piece of construction. How carefully the mud walls have been built and smoothed.

Not sure the Philadelphus will grow back quickly enough for it to be hidden and usable next year...
