Just a little wine.....

The Waipara Valley is a unique location, sheltered by the Teviotdale hills and home to award winning wines with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Sauvignon being recognised internationally.

Hubby and I and my girlfriend M visited a couple of North Canterbury wineries. It was a warm 28C as we lunched under umbrellas in the garden of red and white roses and blue wisteria before enjoying a little wine tasting. Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer were my favourites today.

We didn't feel like tea in the evening but decided to dine out for a little dessert with a Late Harvest Riesling followed by coffee and tea for me.

It was a lovely day with the best company :)
