Yellow and white poppies again in the afternoon..

Soon they will close for the evening.

Yesterday I was asked what these looked like in colour and others said they looked forward to see them open. I have tried in the extreme heat going down out there to show the effect of their colour that they add in context.

Here is a snap of the relationship of their patch to the vegetable garden.. There is just enough room between the patch and the corrugated iron fence to look across to the viewpoint. You can see in this additional photo the bush of sage. Soon the shadow that is extending from an apricot and almond tree will have subdued the poppies into their fussy neat shapes against the cool of the evening (blipped yesterday). :)
