Fired Up.

On my way out of the gym this morning i knew that a blip was going to be difficult due to the dismal, grey day. The Bridgend fire station is directly opposite the gym and i have seen the huge notice board with news of possible closures in the area.
This is roughly the gist of what might happen in the near future.
Two fire stations could close and another two be downgraded with full time fire fighters replaced by on-call crews. The proposals are part of a review of frontline operations by South Wales Fire and Rescue.
Bridgend station could be moved to South Cornelly to replace the stations at Kenfig Hill and Porthcawl. The service said, it did not attend the same number of emergencies in Bridgend as it used to, and the new location could provide " a more efficient protection with only a small statistical increase in risk "
In other words they have already decided and whatever the local people think, this is what will happen. Why does " progress " always mean we go backwards?
