Winters past and present.

The weather forecast warns that winter will arrive with a vengeance later tonight. And, sure enough, here it cometh!

The building on the far right is the school where Mrs T taught when we were a newly married, care-free couple. One winter's afternoon it unexpectedly started to snow at 3 in the afternoon and by 4 they were comprehensively marooned, completely trapped by the snow. They were forced to spend the night, together with all the children, at a farm house just up the road. They don't make winters like that anymore!
