Tree banter

I had a nice day, today: very relaxing, with a bit of ferrying the kids around and dinner at the cottage in the evening with Hannah, Milly, Dan and Abi.

At one point I was driving to pick up Dan from youth theatre and Milly decided to come along for the ride, which, it transpired, involved stopping at Booths so she could buy some sushi.

While I was waiting for her, I saw this fellow and found myself saying, sotto voce, "Thinning a bit on on top there, bud."

And then I imagined the tree replying "Look who's talking!"
