Underneath the arches!
Bit dull today but a nice low tide so wandered under the bridge which joins Castle Emplacement to Castle Cornet.
The Castle was built on a rocky island about 1/2 mile of Guernsey's east coast...opposite the town.
The castle became part of Guernsey when, after the Napoleonic wars (early in 1800's) it became an extension of the southern breakwater enclosing the harbour.
My blip is under the connecting bridge looking south toward Jerbourg across Havelet bay.
Although this little area looks very tranquil in this blip, at high tide in rough weather it can be like Dante's Inferno and best given a lot of respect, as the tide and breakers rush furiously through the gap!
Hope your Monday went smoothly!
