Shine a Light!

Mike's day off so a trip to Kirkwall and the heady excitement of Highland Industrial Supplies and the retail opportunities it offers beckoned! Actually I am doing it a disservice, the range of goods it sells is immense, from bird food to hammer drills via sheep wormer, coat hooks and microwave ovens!

Later we went for our annual visit to the Christmas shop in Shearers, another general merchants, selling everything you could possibly want and more. I've blipped it previously, here and here but today, rather than focus on the fireplace, my eye was taken with the wonderful selection of lamps.

Much colder tonight,sleet and snowy stuff on the cars as we came out of choir rehearsal and down to 2 deg C . . . . very festive!
