just living

all still there: the lake and the trees, the insects and the birds - as if nothing changes, life just going on and on. The pelicans sailing from the treetops to catch some fish are probably not the same as last year, still no one around here wonders if they still are alive, not even the uncountable family members in trees, though I've heard pelicans can become more than 30 years old. But the pelicans don't care about age, time doesn't really mean anything, and nature does not care about anyone in particular. Millions of insects just living for a couple of days, yet everyone seems to be happy with the state of things. No one in a hurry. No questions to be answered. Just living is enough.
