Box Hill

Back again to Denbies Vineyard, this time for lunch at the Gallery Restaurant, high up above the vineyard and with this lovely view of nearby Box Hill. The vines are stripped bare now, but we heard that it has been the best season ever, and that they have had a good harvest of Cabernet Sauvignon, the first to be grown in this country. Our favourite Denbies wine, Surrey Gold, has completely sold out, so they are doing well.
