Western Pentlands from Allermuir Hill
Glorious sunny day, after the first real frost of the autumn in the centre of town. We decided to go for a walk in the Pentlands, and parked at Hillend. We went up Caerketton Hill and then on to Allermuir Hill, which is where the blip was taken. The hills are the ridge from Turnhouse Hill to West Kip, with Scald Law, the highpoint, in the middle. I wanted to take the view up to the highlands, but it was a bit murky, due to the chemical works at Grangemouth. There is snow on the higher hills around Crianlarich, with more forecast tonight and tomorrow.
