Yesterday...

...I watched an old episode of Time Team. It was from 2008, if I remember rightly , and the team were looking for Second World War defences around Shooters Hill, London. One of the things they found was a platform and spigot for an anti-tank mortar. Fast forward to this afternoon and I came across this while walking into Haslemere. It looks like the same thing to me - the uninitiated. If I hadn't watched the programme yesterday I would've walked straight past. Isn't life odd ??? Of course it could be something else entirely !!
