In the Quiet Zone

The trees are holding onto their leaves very well still this year, I assume due to the absence of the temperatures really dropping although that looks set to change over the next few days. Lunchtime today it was chilly but crisp and sunny between the clouds so I took a slightly longer walk directly along the canalside out of Aylesbury and got away from the usual collection of dog walkers, fishing rods and runners! Although this stretch of canal is usually quiet, it is especially so at the moment due to a combination of building works in the new and old basins and the fact the canal level has quite dramatically fallen (you can just about see it on the right hand side of the image). Made for a quiet and calming scene though.
