Bam...boo!

Did someone utter the words; "New toy!"? Well, certainly there would be cause to...I've been scribbling around on the wee bugger for a while now, having fun all the while. One thing that's eluded me to date so far is why the software that comes with it recognises what you've scrawled, but doesn't allow you to do anything with it...it translates the spider dance into block letters, lets you see it, and then....whoomph! It's off the screen! Any answers gratefully received on an electronic postcard (of course!).
