Wary and Alert
I have tried a number of times to get a decent shot of a magpie, but until today they have always been poor examples. They seem such alert birds and so wary, that the slightest movement indoors frightens them. Makes it hard to get close to the window for a measured shot.
I managed a few today, and this is the best, but its far from perfect even so. Other than cropping some 'surplus lawn' from the edges of the picture this is as it came from the camera. Thinking about it that is the only sort of lawn cutting that's likely to happen for a few months now!
I wonder how wary we are about letting our true selves be known. Are we, am I, quick to 'fly away' rather than allowing others to see us as we are? Then of course looking at it from the other perspective, are we wise enough to flee from danger rather than get caught up in something that might be harmful?
Food for thought maybe.
