Sitar detail
This was the sitar belonging to Mr B Rongong, who very kindly agreed to play at the Curry Night held by the Parish of Traprain to celebrate two years of twinning with Naxalbari Pastorate, in the Diocese of North India. Not only did Mr B Rongong play the sitar, drum and bamboo flute (not all at the same time), he also sang, made bird noises and took us on a journey through the noises of an Indian station. The children (and the adults) were all captivated by him and this contributed greatly to the success of the evening.
