Land's A'blaze

Woods on fire about a quarter mile from my place. Spent a nice afternoon containing the spread of this hazard along with members of the local volunteer fire department and a state forester.

Nothing like raking and stomping side by side for gaining a refreshed appreciation for what these volunteers do!
